Winnie Tuckness has been
Preschool/Children's Minister at South Haven since 1988 and
a member of the church since 1971. For 12 years she served with
her husband, Jack, in the youth ministry, directed Carpenter's
Kids Preschool for five years, and has volunteered with Sunday
School, missions, and music programs since she has been a member.
Winnie graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a degree
in Elementary Education. She comes from a teacher/minister family.
Her dad has retired after 48 years of pasturing churches in Missouri and Illinois and her mom is a retired elementary teacher. They now live in the bungalows at the Baptist Home in Ozark and attend South Haven. Winnie's husband, Jack, and three children, Alex,
Kristen, & Kasha, are all teachers ranging from first grade
through college.
Winnie's hobbies include spending time with family and reading.
Her young grandchildren, Elise, Joel, Jonathan, Molly, and Katherine Anne, help keep
her in touch with the growing needs of young children and their
families. She also loves visiting with parents, teaching children,
and getting acquainted with new families.
