Ryan began serving as our Senior Pastor in 2009. This call is a homecoming for Ryan as he interned and served as Assistant Pastor at South Haven from 1995-1998. Prior to his return to South Haven, Ryan served as Pastor at First Baptist Church, Neosho, Missouri for eight years.
Raised in Joplin, Missouri, Ryan is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University (BA), Southwestern Seminary (MDIV) and is completing the Doctor of Ministry degree through Midwestern Seminary.
Ryan and his wife Paula have two children, Addison and Hayes..
Ryan's only shortcoming is that he is a Chicago Cubs fan. He does, however, enthusiastically cheer for and support the Springfield Cardinals!
Minister of Music and Senior Adults
David was born in Springfield and grew up at High Street Baptist Church. He felt God call him into full time ministry during his sophomore year at Missouri State University. After receiving his Masters Degree in Music Education he began teaching at Baptist Bible College in Springfield. After a short time there, God moved him to minister at a church in Houston Texas. Later he felt called to return to serve in various churches in the Springfield area.
David came to South Haven in August of 2014. He has a deep and passionate love for music, and feels it’s a joy and honor to lead a congregation in singing and worship to our God and Savior.
David is an avid sports fan and loves the St. Louis Cardinals and the Missouri State Bears. He enjoys every opportunity to play golf, but most of all, loves spending time with his wife, Bev. He and Bev have four adult children and five grandchildren.
Minister of Discipleship & Family Life
Robin and her husband, Alan, were married at South Haven in 1976 and they have been members ever since. Robin has served at South Haven since 1985, first as a Kindergarten teacher at South Haven’s preschool, Carpenter’s Kids, then as Director. In 1996 she became Minister of Education for South Haven. Over the years, she has also served as Minister of Drama and Women’s Ministry. Today she serves as Minister of Discipleship including church education and outreach.
Robin believes South Haven is a wonderful church full of great people who love the Lord and love to serve others. She feels very blessed to have the opportunity to serve at South Haven.
Robin was born and raised in Springfield, graduating from Parkview high school and Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in Education. She and her husband live in Rogersville. Robin enjoys the outdoors, hiking, camping, teaching Baton twirling, and working with kids.
Chad joined the South Haven family in September of 2018. He first felt his call to ministry when he was a senior in high school. He attended Baptist Bible College here in Springfield. He has led worship and done youth ministry for over 18 years in various churches in Ohio and Missouri. He is passionate about worship and music and loves doing life with others.
Chad and his wife Lauren have 3 beautiful children, Grace, Aiden and Jack.
Chad loves playing guitar and enjoys playing and watching most sports. Born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Chad is a huge Arkansas Razorback fan. He loves to hunt and enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Pastor of Students and International Missions
David joined the South Haven family in August of 2017 after serving over a decade at First Baptist Church in Odessa, Missouri.
David considers himself an expert in awkward side hugs, high-fiving, and finding free food. He graduated from Midwestern Seminary in 2010 and Southwest Baptist University in 2004 where he met his wife, Shea, who is by far better than him in every way imaginable. Together, they have the two cutest blond girls in the world—Maggie and Haddie.
David loves the Kansas City Royals, even in the rough times, and loves to travel.
Minister of Preschool and Children
Terri began serving as Minister of Preschool and Children in 2013 after 19 years as preschool associate. She has served as Director of Preschool in the Marketplace Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, and Missions & Music programs. She is currently director of South Haven's Mother's Day Out ministry.
Terri was raised a "Zizzer" from West Plains, Missouri and graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in 1981. She has two children, Derek and Mariah. She enjoys all sports, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. Terri's passion is ministering to and teaching children.
